Robban has been in the scene since starting up the radio show Power Hour 1987 and putting his first show on in 1988. He went on to initiate Close-Up Magazine (as a fanzine) in 1991 and ran it all the way until 2019. For 28 years and 220 issues the magazine spread the gospel of metal to its readership before calling it quits. Close-Up stayed relevant through the decades and became a necessary go-to for the metal scene from early on. 2011 Close-Up began doing big-ship-trips with bands out in the Baltic Sea, booking bands like Entombed, Kvelertak, Graveyard among others, an operation still cruising today.
