Marí is the moniker for the Danish singer/songwriter Linda Marí Josefsen. Without being under the influence of the sound and musical virtues of the present time, Marí delivers her songs in a timeless, reflective and calm, yet edgy, gloomy and melancholic universe. Like a spherical and airy autumn storm, her music hits you with the calmness of a Nordic landscape painting, like a walk through the wind-swept fjord fields, the dirty night hours of the cities and gnarled forests with the lonely full moon as the only company. Her debut album was recorded in Sigur Rós Sundlaugin Studio with Icelandic producer Albert Finnbogason who has been crucial in getting that special Nordic melancholy.
