Emerging from the ancient forests of western Dalecarlia, Sweden, Hilning is the creation of Andreas Baier, born from various solo projects. Hilning channels the pagan spiritual essence of black metal, drawing inspiration from the ancient Finnground spirits of the region’s mountains and valleys. By honoring traditional folk music and sorcery of the area, Hilning forges a distinctive path within the realms of Swedish and Norwegian metal.
