The 23-year-old Belgian Iskander Moens already has an extensive musical journey despite his young age. As a young kid, Iskander had the opportunity to tour across Europe with the choral ensemble Collegium Vocale (under the direction of Philippe Herreweghe). He composed polyphonic pieces for the men’s choir Dionysos Now! and was active in projects outside the classical world, including the tuxedorock trio HYPER! and fusion band Shikata Ga Nai. As a multi-instrumentalist and producer he's done a lot, and over the past two years, he has been actively involved as a producer, session musician, and songwriter for artists such as Mooneye, The Starlings, Camille, Lea Rue, Ibe and Yves Paquet. Simultaneously, Iskander has been quietly making strides as a solo artist under his alter-ego “Iskander Moon”. He aims to deliver simple, heartfelt pop songs with compelling lyrics, sung from behind his ivory keys. Think Bon Iver, James Bay, and Tom Odell.
