Arvid Nero has explored a musical world of blues, country, and soul, often pairing life’s darkness with a touch of tragicomedy. He began as a street musician in Gothenburg, releasing his debut solo album, "Mother Earth", in 2018 to critical acclaim. Since then, he's put out two more albums, an EP, and several singles. In 2022, Arvid released his first Swedish single, "En gång en vän," marking a new phase of songwriting in his native language. Inspired by artists like Cornelis, Åkerström, Dylan, and Cohen, he especially connects with Alf Robertson’s songs about ordinary life. Arvid and long-time friend Albin Lee Meldau, with whom he once fronted the soul band Magnolia, have been creating music together since their teens. They recently collaborated and co-wrote Arvid's new single “Galler,” produced by Peter Kvint. Released under Albin's new label, Mayfly Recordings, the song is a tribute to poet Stig Dagerman, featuring a melancholic story, beautiful melody, and soulful vocals.
