Lio Kanine has immersed himself in every aspect of the music business since 2000. He has worked in indie record stores like Rebel Rebel and Rough Trade, run club nights across NYC and Brooklyn, and managed bands while holding A&R and sales positions at various indie labels, including Mexican Summer and Rough Trade. As a co-founder of The New Colossus Festival, Lio takes pride in its evolution from a grassroots initiative to an international music experience, featuring 150 bands yearly and hosting regular shows and summer block parties across all five boroughs.
