Sam Sumpter is the creative force behind Bands do BK, a blog, a book, and a weekly newsletter dedicated to the New York City music scene. She also hosts radio shows on 90.7 WFUV, where she interviews bands and hosts live sessions. In addition to her media roles, Sam produces and promotes live shows across the city and manages the Brooklyn punk band Mary Shelley, who will perform at Viva Sounds this year.
